Used Fiat 500

Fiat 500

The car manufacturer, Fiat, produced the Fiat 500 from 1957 up to 1975. The first Fiat 500s were called Nuovas and were notable for their being small, practical, and cheap. The length of the Fiat 500 Nuova is only 9 feet 9 inches. This Fiat model was succeeded by the Fiat 126. And, in turn, the Fiat 500 succeeded the older Fiat Topolino. Two body styles were created for the Fiat 500. These are the two-door coupe and the three-door estate. The engines fitted in the two body styles are all straight-2 engines with varying fuel capacities, with such as follows: 479 cc, 499 cc, and 594 cc. The transmission system is manual and four-speed. The used Fiat 500 Nouva was then replaced by the Fiat 500 model D. The start of the Ds and the stop of the Nouva production happened in 1957. There are only two differences between the Nouva and the D. These are the roof and the size of the engine. The roof of the Fiat 500 D does not fold as much as the Nouva when bringing the top down. Also, the Fiat 500 D has an enlarged version of the Nouva’s engine. The engine fitted in the Fiat 500 D is a straight-2 499 cc that can generate up to 17 bhp of power. Simultaneously, Fiat created the Fiat 500 model K. This was the estate version of the model D. The Fiat 500 K was the model that went in production for the longest period. It was first created together with the Fiat 500 D in 1960 and continued its release until 1977 — a full twelve years over the Fiat 500 D’s lifespan in production. The model K is also the only car model to sport “suicide doors” in the 1970s. About five years after the production of the D and the K, Fiat released another version of the Fiat 500 and called it the Fiat 500 F or the Fiat 500 Berlina. The Berlina went in production from 1965 up to 1972. This model pretty much inherited almost everything in the other earlier version of the Fiat 500. Thus, this car is almost always mistaken for another Fiat 500 model. If not for the suicide doors of the model D, the Berlina could pass easily as the model D at first glance. Also, the top of the Berlina can go down more fully than the other Fiat 500s.
